open Home | Salesforce

Click on Gear Icon and click on setup from dropdown and click Next

Click Home

Click on the Quick Find Type "Tab" and select Tabs and click on next

Click on "New" to create a custom tab for the custom object

Click --None-- Select the object to apply a tab and click on next

Click on the look-up icon and select the desired icon and click on next

Click on required icon and click on next

Click Next

Click Next

Select the required profiles and click save
