This skill allows users to generate a VID (Virtual ID) for their Aadhaar card. The VID is a 16-digit temporary number that can be used in place of the Aadhaar number for certain authentication purposes, adding an extra layer of privacy and security. This skill provides a simple and convenient way for users to generate a VID when required.

Open myAadhaar - Unique Identification Authority of India application in browser.

Click on VID Generator to generate 16 Digit Virtual ID(VID) linked to your Aadhaar. This will take you to the VID generation page.

Select the Generate VID if it is not selected, then click on the Next button in the Supervity instruction widget.

Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number to generate VID then click on the Next button in the Supervity instruction widget.

Enter the Captcha which is displayed on the page then click on the Next button in the Supervity instruction widget.

Click on the "Send OTP" button. An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Retrieve the OTP from your mobile and enter it, then click on the Next button in the Supervity instruction widget.

Click on Verify and Proceed button to complete the process. If the OTP and Aadhaar details match the records in UIDAI's database, a 16-digit VID will be generated for your Aadhaar card. The generated VID will be displayed on the screen. You can either note it down for future reference or choose to download the VID.
